RESUME
about me
Height: 5"2 | Eye Color: Hazel | Hair Color: Blonde
As a special needs educator, I experience the difficulties of students who have trouble communicating every day. Through my work as an underwater mermaid, I immerse myself in a situation where it is difficult to communicate with others. This requires me to find new ways to communicate with those around me. Through the use of sign language, underwater signals, and pictures, I bring to life methods to use your voice in a unique way, while also expressing the beauty of embracing your differences in a diverse world. This is my means in proving that you are not alone no matter who you are, or what you can do, and that you are seen, heard, and appreciated for all of your differences.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Performing Arts
The Enchanted Teapot, Harrisburg, PA — Professional Princess/Superhero

June 2020 - PRESENT

I participate in schoolwide, special needs community, children’s, and church events dressed as a Disney princess. I sing and dance with the children, and I give the children the opportunity to experience the magic of Disney, on a more personal level specific to them. I read books to the children and remind them what skills within them make them royalty. Most of my work has been as Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Merida from Brave, Rapunzel from Tangled, Batgirl from Batman.

I entertain as the lead mermaid of this pirate group. East Coast Pirates participate in events where we can create an experience for children like none other, giving them the opportunity to meet pirates and mermaids, and dive into the magical world beyond the sea. We also perform songs and skits for enjoyment, as well as exercise our skills as fire spinners, sword swallowers, stilt walkers, and more.

Special Projects
Children’s Book Author — The Bravest Poodle
The Bravest Poodle was published by Newman Springs Publishing. I was asked to participate in Meet the Author events for children where I read the story and bring my therapy dog so that the children can not only experience the story but be able to immerse themselves in the experience in a hands on way, having my therapy dog with me to provide opportunities for the listeners to pet, play, and interact with the star of the story.
